Nestled beside Edmonds Fishing Pier, Olympic Beach is one of Edmonds hidden gems. Formerly called Dayton Street Beach, the park was renamed to honor Olympic athletes in 1984. Along the beach’s water-front walkway, visitors who look closely can see both large and small artwork dotted throughout the path.
A perfect place for bird watchers to bring their own pair of binoculars, or peer through the viewing scope, you never know what kind of bird you may spy. In front of the entrance to the fishing pier visitors can also stop by the Olympic Beach Visitor Station. During the summer season, the visitor station is open on weekends between 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. There, people can interact with marine animals in the station’s 75-gallon touch tank.
