OceanGate’s renowned deep-sea research offices will close indefinitely following the horrific event that sent chills throughout the marine community. The company’s submersible, Titan, carrying prominent adventurer Hamish Harding, Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman Dawood, Titanic expert Paul-Henri Nargeolet, and OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush, imploded last week near the famed wreckage site of the Titanic, tragically resulting in the loss of all live on board.
In expressing heartfelt condolences to the family members who have lost their loved ones during these challenging times, OceanGate acknowledged that each victim shared an indomitable love for nature that inspired them to explore life below sea levels. The company’s statement also announced its decision to close its offices until further notice.
Lisa Lefeber, CEO of the Port of Everett, reassured everyone grieving that she stands in solidarity with her team in offering best wishes while maintaining a commitment to responsible sea exploration. She stated, “We are truly devastated by the loss of life aboard the Titan and cannot imagine how difficult this time is for those affected by this calamity.”
